A bit about me :)

For nearly 20 years I've worked in the soft furnishings industry, handling hundreds of different fabrics and fibres every day.

Over the years, some of those fabrics began showing up as sensitivities when I was tested, and some would literally make me cough while working with them. It made me stop and think: what exactly are these materials, how are they made, and what are they doing to our bodies?

That question sent me down a rabbit hole.

I started researching not only furnishing fabrics, but clothing textiles too. I wanted to understand what I was wearing every day. Everywhere I looked, recycled polyester and "eco" fabrics were being marketed as sustainable choices, but I found myself drawn back to natural fibres. Fabrics that felt good, wore beautifully, and didn't rely on heavily processed synthetics.

Making clothes wasn't new to me. I've sewn garments throughout my life, made my own wedding dress, and created countless outfits for my girls when they were little. In my twenties, I returned to college and earned an HNC in Fashion, Design, Marketing and Textiles. At the time, life took me in a different direction, and fashion wasn't a career I could afford to pursue.

About 18 months ago, I picked up garment making again and began refining my skills. At first, I was sewing purely for myself. But as time went on, I realised there were others looking for the same things I was—beautiful clothing made slowly and thoughtfully, from fabrics chosen with care.

So this is the beginning of a new chapter.

Alongside my soft furnishings work, I'm launching a small collection of handmade clothing made from carefully sourced organic and Oeko-Tex certified fabrics. Small batches, one-off pieces, and garments designed to be worn for years, repaired when needed, and perhaps one day passed on.

No fast fashion. No mass production.

Just thoughtfully made clothing, created with the same care and craftsmanship I've always brought to my work.

I'm excited, nervous, and incredibly grateful to have you here for the journey.
